Not many people would have guessed that this edition of the Asia Cup 2012 will see a Bangladesh Vs Pakistan Final! But that’s the reality after the Tigers went onto upset big brothers India and Sri Lanka to make their way into a maiden Final of the Asia Cup. Now not many people would be surprised if the Bangladeshis pull off a hat-trick of upsets tomorrow in the Final to beat Pakistan and clinch the Asia Cup for the first time ever!
Team Bangladesh in on fire, both the batsmen and the bowlers have been putting up energetic show. Their fielding has been alright and can put up a better show. Overall the hosts have tremendous support from houseful spectators who never stop from cheering their side. Pakistan will be under huge pressure to ensure that they don’t lose to Bangladesh. Their bowling will hold the key like always and their batting will always be a question especially during run chases.
Pakistan go into this Final after a crashing defeat against archrivals India. Their first match against Bangladesh saw them win by just 21 runs which was more because of the hosts faltering towards the end in a run chase. Pakistan then came up with a thumping win over a jaded Sri Lankan team and it was a bonus point against them that has them sitting in the Final.
The Tigers are roaring and looking to clinch their maiden Asia Cup title infront of their homecrowd. But can Bangladesh handle the pressure and the huge expectations especially when they are playing their biggest Final of their Cricket History? We will know all that by tomorrow evening!
