The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has announced reserve days for the fourth and fifth ODIs to be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The weather for these two ODIs to be played on the 16th and 18th is expected to be poor for cricket because of rain. As we know the Third ODI at this venue on the 13th was washed out with just 6.2 overs of action.
It is the monsoon period in Sri Lanka and fans there are extremely puzzled at the scheduling of this series at this time. The first two ODIs were played at Pallekele which also faced threat from rain. The first match luckily saw a 42-over contest despite a long rain break and the Second ODI managed to survive the rain threat to see a regular full-length contest.
