Imran Farhat, Shoaib Malik and Adnan Akmal dropped from Pakistan’s Asia Cup Squad

News Update on Pakistan Squad for Asia Cup 2012 in Bangladesh

Pakistan have named a 15-man squad for the Asia Cup making atleast three changes to the team that was whitewashed by England in the ODI Series in UAE. Former Skipper Shoaib Malik who has been struggling to score runs of late along with opening batsman Imran Farhat has been dropped. Wicket Keeper Adnan Akmal too has been dropped while left-arm pacer Junaid Khan has been ruled out with a knee injury.

The Pakistani Selectors have recalled Nasir Jamshed and Wicket Keeper Sarfraz Ahmed. The duo have played for Pakistan in the past although limited number of matches.

According to a PCB Media release, following are the players selected by the National Selection Committee headed by Iqbal Qasim to represent Pakistan in this month’s Asia Cup:
