The Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match number 68 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Friday. RR look set to enter the playoffs even with a loss. They have 16 points and an impressive net run rate. If they go down to CSK, and the Delhi Capitals (DC) beat the Mumbai Indians (MI), DC, RCB and RR all will end on 16 points. In that case, RR and DC should go through. However, Rajasthan would like to seal their spot with a win.

For CSK, who have four wins from 13 games, a winning end to a poor campaign will make them feel good. They began the season with bright hopes under Ravindra Jadeja. But the all-rounder has already left the bio-bubble amid rumors of a rift with CSK. They need a victory to sign off on a high.

Chennai were poor in the last match as they went down to the Gujarat Titans (GT) by seven wickets. Ruturaj Gaikwad got a fifty but it was too slow. N Jagadeesan also made an unbeaten 39 but it came off 33 balls. Their overall batting effort needs to be much better.

In the bowling, Matheesha Pathirana made an impressive debut, claiming a wicket with his first ball and ended with impressive figures of 2 for 24. Mukesh Choudhary has been highly impressive while Simarjeet Singh has been decent.

CSK predicted XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube, N Jagadeesan, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Maheesh Theekshana, Prashant Solanki, Simarjeet Singh, Matheesha Pathirana, Mukesh Choudhary

Rajasthan’s confidence would have received a massive boost following their win over the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). There were good contributions all around with the bat as Yashasvi Jaiswal, skipper Sanju Samson and Devdutt Padikkal played crucial knocks. The return of Shimron Hetmyer will boost RR while Jos Buttler will be keen to get back among the runs after a few failures. The bowling seems in pretty good shape.

RR predicted XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Yuzvendra Chahal, Obed McCoy

Top fantasy picks for RR vs CSK clash: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Matheesha Pathirana, Mukesh Choudhary
