A strong innings by Younis Khan has positioned Pakistan to push for victory over New Zealand in the final session of the second test. Younis was out on the final ball before tea Wednesday after making 81, guiding Pakistan to 160-4 at the interval, chasing a target of 274 for victory and a 2-0 series clean sweep.

With a minimum 32 overs to be bowled in the final session, Pakistan needs to score at just over three and half runs per over to win while New Zealand will be aiming to expose Pakistan's tail and push for a victory of its own.

Pakistan captain Misbah ul-Haq was unbeaten on 37 after sharing a 118-run stand with Younis, and will be joined on resumption by Asad Shafiq.
