India won the second and final T20I against hosts Zimbabwe by 7 wickets with 12 balls to spare. With that its a 2-0 cleansweep of this T20 Series for India and also the end of their Zimbabwe Tour. Once again the Zimbabwean batting was devoid of any real fireworks and there was hardly any target to chase for the talented Indian batsmen. It must be said that the hosts put on a slightly improved performance though the output was a moderate 140 for 5.

Tatenda Taibu ran hard between the wickets to top score with a 45-ball 40 for the homeside who were once again put into bat after losing the toss. Charles Coventry with 28 from 13 balls (with 3 fours and 2 sixes) and Elton Chigumbura (18 from 6 balls which included two sixes) provided the finishing touches. For India, Ashok Dinda was very nippy with his pace and got rewarded with 4-0-15-2.

After quite a long time, Murali Vijay found his old touch and he came up with a sparkling 46 from 39 balls with 2 fours and 3 lovely sixes. The stylish opener put on 79 runs for the second wicket with Skipper Suresh Raina, who completed the game inside 18 overs with an unbeaten 72 from 44 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Raina got both the Man of the Match and the Player of the Series awards.
