Earlier, a British newspaper had published extracts of a book by Hawkins in which he claimed an Indian bookmaker had accurately predicted what would happen in Pakistan's innings against their arch-rivals. Talking to Asian News International (ANI) in London, Hawkins said that Pakistan's fall on wickets in that match seemed unbelievable, further raising concerns over the semifinal's sanctity.
