Mumbai Indians cruised to a six-wicket win over Trinidad and Tobago to advance into the Finals of CLT20 2013. The Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians will clash against Rajasthan Royals tomorrow for the Trophy at this same venue.

It was an easy run chase for the Mumbai Indians although T&T did post a competitive total of 153 on a pitch that was getting slower and lower. However, the dew conditions intensified in the second half to make batting easy for the Mumbai Indians. Openers Dwayne Smith and Sachin Tendulkar provided a cracking start of 90 in 11 overs. Tendulkar scored 35 from 31 balls while crossing 50,000 runs in his overall career. His partner Dwayne Smith kept the momentum going with his 59 from 38 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes.

Mumbai had a brief stutter losing three wickets in the space of six balls. But Rohit Sharma with 25 from 22 balls and Dinesh Karthik with 33* (from 21 balls) to help them wrap up the match.

Earlier, T&T was looking good through a second wicket stand between Evin Lewis (62 from 46 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes) and Darren Bravo (14). The Caribbean team lost all its momentum as the pitch started to slow down with the ball stopping onto the bat. Yannick Ottley provided a good finishing for T&T with his 41 not out from 30 balls. For the Mumbai Indians, Aussie fast bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile bowled well in the death to concede only 20 off his 4 overs.
