As of RR, they were extremely lucky to get two points against Punjab Kings (PBKS). They were the first to admit that they didn’t deserve to win but were happy to take home the points. Against a much more accomplished Delhi Capitals (DC), their weaknesses stood thoroughly exposed, especially with the bat. They need to find a better combination, knowing their big guns are missing
In the last match, SRH went down to PBKS by five runs. To be honest though, it was only a gem of a performance from Jason Holder that kept them in the game. Otherwise, they would have got nowhere close. Their batters and bowlers will need to lift their game significantly.
While SRH are out of contention, RR are at the sixth position in the points table. They have four wins and could still sneak into the last four. But they need to display better consistency. Their batting is heavily dependent on skipper Sanju Samson for now.
SRH could try out Jason Roy instead of David Warner and Priyam Garg instead of Kedar Jadhav. They need to make some changes for sure.
SRH’s predicted XI: Jason Roy, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson (c), Priyam Garg, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Sandeep Sharma
RR should ideally bring back both Evin Lewis and Chris Morris. The rest can be retained but need to perform.
