Former Committee of Administrators (CoA) member has hit out at the manner in which the coaching saga was handled by the CoA. Ramchandra Guha himself was part of the SC-appointed CoA, but resigned under controversial circumstances.

Putting up a series of tweets, Guha said, “The shameful treatment of Anil Kumble has now been compounded by the cavalier treatment of Zaheer Khan and Rahul Dravid.”

“Kumble, Dravid and Zaheer were true greats of the game who gave it all on the field. They did not deserve this public humiliation,” Guha said in another tweet.

The three-member Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, had earlier this month named Ravi Shastri as head coac. Dravid and Zaheer were appointed batting and bowling consultants respectively.

In a complete U-turn though, the CoA said on Saturday clarified that Zaheer and Dravid's role were mere recommendations.
