The test series, which drew a lot of attention, failed to live up to its hype as a dismal Indian unit went down like nine pins against an excellent England team, which went on to complete a 4-0 series whitewash. Both teams will resume their rivalry as now the contest shifts to the limited overs format of the game, starting with the one off Twenty20 at Manchester on 31st August.
The visitors, who have called upon a few young legs, have shown signs of improvement with victories against Sussex and Kent. The home side, with Stuart Broad at the helm, has also rested some of the senior members to allow a few youngsters to have a go.
