The hosts were in a shaky position at 83 for 3 before Kevin Pietersen got into the rescue act with Ian Bell through a fourth wicket stand of 70 runs. Pietersen's knock was cut short to 64 while Ian Bell is still holding the innings together with an unbeaten 87. Giving him company is Wicket Keeper Matt Prior (29*) who has put up an unbroken stand of 52 runs for the sixth wicket. For Bangladesh, pace bowler - Shafiul Islam was the most successful capturing the wickets of Strauss and Trott.
