India's Squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2012 in Bangladesh will be announced on March 1

The National Selectors will meet on the 1st of March at the Cricket Centre in Mumbai to name the Squad for the upcoming Asia Cup tournament. This edition of the Asia Cup will be played during the month of March in Bangladesh.

The Asia Cup 2011/12 will be very short with just six league matches and a final. The tournament begins on the 11th and ends on the 22nd. This time only Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India will be taking part in the Asia Cup 2012. All the matches will be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. All the four teams play each other once and the top two teams make it to the final.

India could well be making some drastic changes to its One Day Squad for the upcoming Asia Cup. The likes of Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar could face the axe following their poor show in the ongoing CB Series. Others like Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina will also be uncertain of their positions in the Indian team.
