Southpaw Yuvraj Singh playing in his first ever ‘first class game’ after his comeback into competitive cricket scored a sizzling century in the ongoing Duleep Trophy encounter at Hyderabad. This is big news for Indian Cricket as Yuvraj Singh, who did play in the ICC World T20 2012 couldn’t get going with the bat. However, today at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, the Southpaw was back to his devastating best, scoring an unbeaten 133 (from just 152 balls with 20 fours and 2 sixes) for North Zone against Central Zone.

Yuvraj SinghBatting first after winning the toss, North Zone piled up 346 for 4 in 90 overs. Apart from Yuvraj, Skipper Shikhar Dhawan, who opened the batting, scored 121 (from 200 balls with 14 fours). The Central Zone team led by India discard Mohammad Kaif has a slightly thin bowling attack consisting of medium pacers – Praveen Kumar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rituraj Singh along with the experienced left-arm spinner Murali Kartik.
