Pakistan bowlers produced their best show to skittle out Zimbabwe for 120 all out to win the First Test at Harare by 221 runs. The Test match was wrapped up quickly in an extended morning session with Zimbabwe losing nine wickets in just 39.1 overs.

While it was Junaid Khan who provided the opening for Pakistan this morning, it was the two spinners Saeed Ajmal and Abdur Rehman cleaning up the rest of the Zimbabwean line-up. Ajmal who took the wicket of Mawayo just before stumps yesterday added three more wickets to his kitty. This was Saeed Ajmal’s 4th 10-wicket haul having picked up 11 for 118 in this Test match. His spinning partner Abdur Rehman who was wicketless in the first innings found some rhythm taking 4 for 36 in 13 overs.

Not a single batsman from Zimbabwe could withstand the Pakistani bowling on a Day 5 pitch which had inconsistent bounce because of the widening of the cracks. The top scorer for Zimbabwe was Elton Chigumbura with 28.

The Man of the Match award went to Younis Khan for his timely double century ahead of Saeed Ajmal. The Second Test match will be played at this same venue from the 10th.
