Australia cruised to an expected victory on day four against West Indies at Kingston in Jamaica as the hosts' batting collapsed for the second time in the match, and this time there was no lower order resistance as well. Having lost their openers for ducks the day before, West Indies collapsed to 114 all out, a miserable batting effort during which they lost 5 for 56 in the first session itself, and were all out a little after lunch.
Mitchell Starc, who had dismissed the openers the day before, was in his elements the next morning as well. In the fifth over of the day, he had Shane Dowrich with a ball angling across him. Starc appealed for lbw as the ball had brushed past the pad, but in reality, the delivery had dislodged the off stump. As the ball was seaming around in the morning, Josh Hazelwood also proved threatening. He was troubling the batsmen with his moving deliveries, and eventually had Darren Bravo caught in the gully, by Shaun Marsh.
Hazlewood continued to impress, and had Jermaine Blackwood playing on to a delivery that came back in from a good length. The wicket left the Windies in all sorts of strife at 33 for 5. Shai Hope and skipper Denesh Ramdim occupied the crease for 9 overs before Mitchell Johnson bowled a pacy in-dipper that crashed through Hope's defence, and disturbed the off stump. Jason Holder couldn't not repeat his first innings heroics as he guided Shane Watson to short midwicket.
West Indies went to lunch with the score reading a miserable 72 for 7. Veerasammy Permaul and Ramdin added 49 for the 8th wicket, but Johnson again broke through, having Ramdin caught at slip by Michael Clarke with one that squared him up. Off spinner Nathan Lyon completed the final rites. Kemar Roach offered a simple catch to short leg, and very next delivery Jerome Taylor was bowled, going for a slog. Taylor's dismissal symbolised West Indies' lack of resistance in the Test.
