Geraint Jones, who has played 34 Tests and 49 ODIs for England as a Wicket Keeper batsman has announced that he will be representing the Oceanian country - Papua New Guinea henceforth!

Geraint Jones, who has played 34 Tests and 49 ODIs for England as a Wicket Keeper batsman has announced that he will be representing the Oceanian country - Papua New Guinea henceforth! Papua New Guinea is the country in which Geraint Jones was born to parents originating from Wales. Jones subsequently moved to the United Kingdon where he played for Kent and eventually represented England at the highest level.

The 35-year-old Geraint Jones will play for PNG in the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier which is scheduled to be played in the UAE in March. Jones last played for England in 2006 and was part of the Ashes winning squad in 2005 following which he was honoured with an MBE - Member of the Order of the British Empire.
