Team India Skipper MS Dhoni has been ruled out of the ongoing Tri-Series in West Indies because of a hamstring injury which he sustained yesterday at Kingston. Dhoni continued to bat after pulling his hamstring though it was for a brief period. The seriousness of Dhoni’s injury was confirmed when he did not turn out on the field during the West Indies’ run chase.

Middle order batsman AT Rayudu has been named as MS Dhoni’s replacement. India already have a specialist wicket keeper in the present squad in the form of Dinesh Karthik. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli who led India in the absence of MS Dhoni in yesterday’s match will officially be the Captain for the rest of the tri-series.
