The Group B Match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Brisbane Heat was abandoned without a single ball bowled due to wet ground conditions at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. The news of the abandonment came an hour after the scheduled start of play. This decision from the Umpires was on expected lines as a heavy shower had arrived during the final stage of the T&T-Titans match at about 7:20 PM or so. The sharp shower had done its damage to leave plenty of puddles on the outfield and the super soppers couldn’t do much to restore the ground to normalcy.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad have been terminated with just 1 win and 2 defeats in their four games. They finish second last just on top of Brisbane Heat who go home without a single win in their four matches.

While Chennai Super Kings are already through to the Semis, the second spot from Group B is going to be taken either by Trinidad & Tobago or Titans. T&T are in a better shape to make it to the Semis and they would even if they lose their last game against CSK but not without a big margin. Titans’ only chance would be to hope T&T to lose to CSK in a big way.
