Delhi Daredevils collected their ninth win of IPL 5 to reclaim their No.1 position. At the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, the tournament favourites made short work of a huge target of 188 set by hosts Deccan Chargers. Incredibly, Delhi Daredevils took just the 16.4 overs to get to the target.
Australian David Warner playing in only his second match of IPL 5 scored a thunderous 109 not out from 54 balls with 10 fours and 7 sixes. India ODI discard Naman Ojha played the supporting role to perfection to come up with an unbeaten 64 from 46 balls with 2 fours and 5 sixes.
Delhi Daredevils went onto win the match by a huge margin of 9 wickets with as many as 20 balls to spare despite Skipper Virender Sehwag falling cheaply in just the second ball of the innings. David Warner was the obvious choice for the Man of the Match award.
