We all know that IPL 5 was rocked by the Spot Fixing and other corruption charges. Some of the well known domestic players like TP Suddhindra, Mohnish Mishra and Shalabh Srivastava got trapped in a TV Sting operation after they were allegedly lured by the greed of money. Following this episode, the BCCI and the IPL governing council has decided to have the domestic players as part of the auction from next year’s IPL.
To a leading newspaper from India, Rajeev Shukla, the IPL Chairman, has revealed that in a measure to prevent any form of corruption in the game, all the domestic players will go into the auction as well. Till IPL 5, only players who have atleast played one or more game for India in any of three formats were eligible for Auction.
Meanwhile, Rajeev Shukla has also gone onto say that the sting operation carried out by India TV wasn’t related to the IPL but to some Indore Cricket league. The IPL Chairman was not confirming the participation of Pakistani players in IPL 6 though.
