South Africa won the 5-ODI Series in UAE 3-2 after a comprehensive 57-run victory in the final ODI at Dubai. Batting first after winning the toss, SA piled up 317 for 5 in the allotted 50 overs which was built by four half centuries - Jacques Kallis (83 from 95 balls with 4 fours), Hashim Amla (62 from 47 balls with 9 fours and a six), Wicket Keeper AB de Villiers (61 from 72 balls with 5 fours) and JP Duminy (59* from 41 balls with 8 fours).

All the Pakistani bowlers took a beating with the exception of left arm spinner Abdur Rehman who conceded only 33 runs in his 10 overs! The Pakistanis got off to a solid start of 82 for 1 in less than 13 overs but the middle order failed to capitalize on it. The team was reduced to 119 for 5 when opener Mohammad Hafeez after a 58-ball 59 (with 7 fours) got dismissed by Johan Botha in the 23rd over. Umar Akmal who took up the Wicket Keeping duties in place of Zulqarnain Haider who went missing came up with a 71-ball 60 (with a four and three sixes) which went in vain. Abdul Razzaq who won the 2nd ODI with a superb century scored 39 from 40 balls before falling in the 44th over.

Jacques Kallis with 5-0-30-3 and left arm spinner Robin Peterson with 8.5-0-42-3 were the chief destroyers with the ball. Kallis finished with the Man of the Match while Hashim Amla, the run machine got the Player of the Series award.
