The Royal Challengers Bangalore will travel to the Chepauk in Chennai to play the Chennai Super Kings in the 14th game of the Indian Premier League. The Super Kings go into the game with a win from two games whereas the Bangalore side had won their first game but have lost their fizz in the rest of the games.
Chennai will be rueing their loss to the Kings XI Punjab side. At the half way stage the Super Kings were looking favourites to win the game but suddenly, there came Paul Valthaty. Valthaty banished all the bowlers to all parts of the ground and scored the first century of the IPL this year.
The Super Kings will now look to ensure that they can bat as well as they had done in the previous game especially after they had lost the first two wickets off the first two balls of the game. However, this was followed by superb batting from S Badrinath and Murali Vijay, who ensured that the Punjab side weren’t going home in a hurry.
On the other hand, the Bangalore team need to think about their bowling line-up. In the absence of Dirk Nannes who was injured, there is going to be some tough decisions taken – Johan van der Wath needs to be replaced with Charl Langeveldt.
