Indian women’s captain Mithali Raj has condemned the stone-pelting incident on the Australian team bus. She said it was not in good taste.

“Throwing rock is not in a good taste because it is a sport. People should be able to strictly see it likewise & not beyond that,”Mithali was quoted as saying in a DNA report.

India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin too has condemned the stone pelting incident on the Australian team bus after India’s defeat at Guwahati.

Taking to Twitter, Ashwin said, “The stone thrown at the Aussie team bus shows us in bad light, let's all act more responsibly. A vast majority of us are capable of that.”

Australian opener Aaron Finch and Adam Zampa have taken to Twitter to share the ‘scary’ incident.

Luckily, no injuries were reported to the players or the support staff. Assam's Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has apologised for the incident.

“Our deep apology. People of Assam never endorse such behaviour .we will punish the guilty,” he said on Twitter.
