South Africa have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in their T20 Series against Sri Lanka. The Proteas defeated the hosts by 22 runs in a low-scoring contest at Hambantota on Sunday.

South Africa have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in their T20 Series against Sri Lanka. The Proteas defeated the hosts by 22 runs in a low-scoring contest at Hambantota on Sunday.

Batting first after winning the toss, the tourists posted a modest total of 145 for 6. David Miller top scored with a 21-ball 36 (with 1 four and 2 sixes). JP Duminy chipped in with a 23-ball 30. For the Lankans, Sachithra Senanayake took 2 for 18 in 4 overs.

Sri Lanka were disappointing in the run chase again and were restricted to 123 for 7. Kumar Sangakkara top scored for the hosts with a 35-ball 39. The Lankans had no chance of winning once they were reduced to 90 for 6 by the 16th over. Lonwabo Tsotsobe and Morne Morkel took two wickets each while the other three bowlers chipped in with a wicket each. David Miller got the Man of the Match award.
