Chennai Super Kings collected yet another victory thanks to their powerful batting line-up. This time it was an 8-wicket win with two balls to spare over hosts Delhi Daredevils in a high-scoring contest at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

Delhi Daredevils put into bat first blazed away to an impressive 178 for 5 with Dinesh Karthik scoring a 36-ball 51 and the duo of JP Duminy (28* from 17 balls) and Kedar Jadhav (29* from 18 balls) providing the perfect finish.

However, Daredevils ran into the most dangerous opening stand between Brendon McCullum and Dwayne Smith which took CSK to 82 in 11.2 overs. McCullum scored 32 off 35 balls before he was caught at long on. Dwayne Smith carried on to almost seal the game with a brutal knock of 79 from 51 balls with 4 fours and as many as 8 sixes!

Dwayne Smith got out in the 19th over leaving CSK just 11 more runs with 8 balls to spare. CSK needed 11 off the final over after some superb bowling from Wayne Parnell. Skipper MS Dhoni held his nerve to spank Jaydev Unadkar for a six and a four to wrap up the run chase. At the other end was Suresh Raina who sustained the momentum with an energetic knock of 47 not out from 27 balls.

Delhi Daredevils were hard done by the steady drizzle in the latter part of the CSK innings which made the ball wet and difficult to grip.

Toss and Teams: Chennai Super Kings have won the toss and asked Delhi Daredevils to bat first in Match 26 of IPL 7 at the Feroz Shah Kotla. CSK remain unchanged while Delhi bring in Laxmi Ratan Shukla for Rahul Sharma.
