South Africa have rested veteran all-rounder Jacques Kallis for the upcoming ODI Series at home against New Zealand. AB de Villiers will lead the 14-man squad that features four uncapped players in the ODI format – Wicket Keeper batsman Quinton de Kock, left-arm spinner Aaron Phangiso, middle order bat Farhaan Behardien and all-rounder Rory Kleinveldt. Quinton de Kock is likely to play as the wicket keeper with Skipper AB de Villiers expected to give up that role in the limited over formats of the game.

Those who have been dropped following South Africa’s last ODI Series against England are Dean Elgar, Wayne Parnell, Albie Morkel, Imran Tahir and Justin Ontong. The South Africa-New Zealand ODI Series will comprise of three matches to be played on the 19th, 22nd and 25th at Paarl, Kimberley and Potchefstroom respectively.
