New Zealand are in an embarrassing position for the second time in their Test Series against the formidable World No.1 South Africa. Chasing the Proteas’ first innings total of 525 for 8 declared, the Kiwis slipped to a disastrous 47 for 6 in just 24 overs.

New Zealand are in an embarrassing position for the second time in their Test Series against the formidable World No.1 South Africa. Chasing the Proteas’ first innings total of 525 for 8 declared, the Kiwis slipped to a disastrous 47 for 6 in just 24 overs. Dale Steyn with his red hot pace took a couple of wickets and Rory Kleinveldt claimed two wickets. Towards the end, Robin Peterson took two wickets in an over to put the Kiwis on the mat.

Dean ElgarEarlier, the South Africans resuming the second day’s play of the Second Test at Port Elizabeth on 325 for 4 too quite some time before declaring its innings just after Tea. Overnight batsman Faf du Plessis went onto score his 2nd Test century. He finished with 137 (from 252 balls with 14 fours and 2 sixes) while Dean Elgar scored a maiden Test century. The South African declaration came soon after Elgar reaching the milestone; the left-hander remained unbeaten on 103 (from 170 balls with 14 fours and a six).
