Ireland to host Bangladesh for a T20I Series in July

Cricket Ireland has announced that Bangladesh will be visiting their country next month to play in a 3-match T20I Series. The purpose of the series is to help Ireland warm-up prior to the 12-nation ICC World Twenty20 2012 in Sri Lanka which will be begin mid September.

Cricket Ireland has announced that Bangladesh will be visiting their country next month to play in a 3-match T20I Series. The purpose of the series is to help Ireland warm-up prior to the 12-nation ICC World Twenty20 2012 in Sri Lanka which will be begin mid September.

Ireland are placed in Group B while Bangladesh are in Group D in the ICC World T20 2012. The Cricket Ireland website has its CEO quoted as saying “We are delighted to be able to bring more top quality cricket to Ireland. Hosting matches against the Full Member countries is exactly what we are striving for and this summer proves we are on the right track with matches against Australia, South Africa A, Afghanistan and now Bangladesh. “In addition, this is the first time ever we are playing T20I matches at home against a Test nation, and we fully intend to play the games at a time and a price to suit the post-work and weekend crowd.”

Cricket IrelandMr. Deutrom also added “I would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the ICC High Performance Programme and to ICC Europe for their financial support in helping make these matches come to fruition.”

July 18: Ireland Vs Bangladesh, 1st T20I at Stormont

July 20: Ireland Vs Bangladesh, 2nd T20I at Stormont

July 21: Ireland Vs Bangladesh, 3rd T20I at Stormont
