The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match number 36 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. This will be the evening game of the double-header and will hence begin at 7:30 PM IST. Bangalore are presently in the third position in the points table, having won five of their seven matches. As for Hyderabad, they are in fifth place with eight points. Significantly, they are on a four-match winning streak.

In their last match, RCB got the better of an in-form Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 16 runs. Faf du Plessis roared back to form with 96 off 64 balls. Dinesh Karthik, Shahbaz Ahmed and Glenn Maxwell have been in good form. DK, in fact, has been exceptional. Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli though need to get among the runs.

In the bowling, RCB are looking very strong. Josh Hazlewood has been exceptional, Mohammed Siraj has rediscovered his form while Harshal Patel has continued to excel. With Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga is not even getting to complete his quota of four overs.

RCB predicted XI: Faf du Plessis (c), Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Suyash Prabhudessai, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Mohammed Siraj

SRH battered the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their last game by seven wickets. After restricting Punjab to 151, they chased the target with ease. Umran Malik and T Natarajan were both exceptional with the ball against PBKS. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has rediscovered his mojo while Marco Jansen has been silently impressive. The fifth bowler is a worry for SRH.

In the batting, Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram are in terrific form while Nicholas Pooran too has played a couple of good knocks. They would expect better consistency from Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson. Shashank Singh and Jagadeesha Suchith are unexplored territories in batting.
