England have rested three of its bowlers for the Third and Final ODI against West Indies to be played on the 22nd at Leeds. With the series already captured 2-0, the English Selectors have decided to give opportunity to the likes of pacers Jade Dernbach, Chris Woakes and off-spinner James Tredwell.
The three players rested for the Final ODI are Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann.
According to the ECB website, National Selector Geoff Miller has been quoted to have said: “The fact that we have already won the NatWest Series means we are able to take the opportunity to rest three players ahead of next week's series against Australia and take a closer look at players who are likely to feature in our limited-overs planning going forward."
Update on 20th: Surrey fast bowler Stuart Meaker has also been added to the squad after Jade Dernbach was allowed to withdraw by the ECB. Dernbach has been granted leave by the ECB to get over the tragic death of his friend and Surrey Colleague - Tom Maynard.
