Gautam Gambhir expressed satisfaction at Kolkata Knight Riders' performance after they beat Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) easily in match 30 of IPL 10.
Stating that his team was a good chasing side, he said, “I thought we are a good chasing side and we are confident of chasing anything. Restricting the opposition to 180 was terrific and the credit needs to go to the bowlers. It’s good to keep contributing, I keep saying Orange Cap does not matter if you don’t have points as a team. But it is good to score runs and when you are, score as much as you can.”
KKR have six wins from 8 games, and are at the top of the points table. Gambhir is now the Orange Cap holder with 305 runs from 8 matches, which includes three half-centuries.
Gambhir made 62 off 46 balls, and featured in a 158-run stand with Robin Uthappa for the second wicket. KKR won the game with 11 balls to spare, and will now take on Delhi Daredevils on Friday.
