Update at 6:05 pm IST: The first ODI at Bristol has been abandoned due to persistent rain and the subsequent wet outfield. Not a single ball was bowled neither was there a toss. This 5-match series now effectively becomes a 4-match series with the 2nd ODI to be played at Cardiff on Wednesday.
Rain Update at 2:35 pm IST: The start of the 1st ODI at the County Ground in Bristol will see an indefinite delay because of persistent rain. Even the toss hasn’t been done because of the heavy drizzle. This ground doesn’t have floodlights so even if it stops raining, the match cannot get underway if the sky stays gloomy.
