Krunal Pandya and Nitish Rana played stellar roles as Mumbai overcame the tough challenge from Sunrisers. Krunal hit 37 from 20 balls as Mumbai chased down 159.
For the second game in a row, Nitish Rana put his hands up with 45 off 36 balls featuring three boundaries and two sixes.
Mumbai were in trouble at 111 for 4 in the 14th over after which Rana and Krunal added 38 runs in 3.3 overs, with Rana's contribution being a single. Krunal hit three fours and three huge sixes.
For Sunrisers, Rashid Khan was again impressive with 1/19 in 4 overs. His googly got rid of skipper Rohit Sharma for 4. He bowled 12 dots and conceded a single six in his four over spell.
For Mumbai, Harbhajan Singh and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah combined to restrict Sunrisers Hyderabad to 158 for 8. This after a brilliant start for the visitors as David Warner hit 49 off 34 balls with two sixes and seven fours and Shikha have at Dhawan made 48 in 43 balls.
The openers added 81 for the first wicket in just over 10 overs. Harbhajan finished with 2/23 in four overs while Bumrah claimed​ 3/24 in 4 overs. Warner was sent back by Harbhajan in the 11th over as only Ben Cutting (20), from the others reached double figures.
Yuvraj Singh fell cheaply to Hardik Pandya as Mumbai Indians had things under control with Sunrisers at 123 for 4 in the 16th over. Only 18 runs came in the last three overs as Sunrisers’ innings fizzled out.
