Bangladesh eased to a 7-wicket victory with 34 balls to spare in a practice T20 match against Ireland XI at The Green in Comber on Monday.

Bangladesh eased to a 7-wicket victory with 34 balls to spare in a practice T20 match against Ireland XI at The Green in Comber on Monday. The Tigers are scheduled 3 T20Is against Ireland in Belfast followed up by a T20I each against Scotland and Netherlands as part of their preparations for the Twenty20 World Championship in Sri Lanka.

Mashrafe MortazaWell, it was an easy victory for the Tigers as Ireland XI were restricted to just 103 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs. Mashrafe Mortaza bowled on a tight leash taking 3 for 14 in 4 overs. For Ireland XI, Nigel Jones top scored with 41* (from 26 balls with a four and 3 sixes).

The Bangladeshis got to the target in 14.2 overs losing three wickets. Shakib Al Hasan with 37* (from 37 balls with 4 fours and a six) and Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim with 40 (from 25 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes) sealed the run chase with their 3rd wicket stand.
