Leg spinner Amit Mishra claimed his third hat-trick of IPL to help Sunrisers Hyderabad pull off a shock win over hosts Pune Warrirors despite putting up just the 119 runs on the board! Mishra became the second bowler to take a hat-trick in IPL 6. We now have two hat-tricks in two days of this edition of the IPL with yesterday Sunil Narine doing it for KKR while today it was Amit Mishra.

Asked to bat first by Mathews, Sunrisers Hyderabad were rocked by the banana swing bowling from Bhuvneshwar Kumar which left them at 17 for 4 in 5 overs. Tall leggie Rahul Sharma made sure that the Sunrisers could never recover by taking a couple of wickets in the middle overs. Just when the visitors were struggling to even get to a 3-digit total at 75 for 7 in 15 overs, Amit Mishra joined forces with Ashish Reddy to collect some crucial runs.

Amit Mishra contributed a handy 30 from 24 balls while Ashish Reddy got 19 from 15 balls with a six. For hosts Pune, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled out his four overs on the trot taking 3 for 18.

Pune Warriors got off to a strong start before losing its openers Robin Uthappa (22 from 14 balls) and Aaron Finch (16 from 13 balls) in consecutive deliveries in the 5th over to Thisara Perera. It took a while before the Sunrisers could actually come back into the contest which was through a few tight overs. Pune made their task tougher by losing wickets at crucial moments and in the end, Amit Mishra bamboozled them by taking four wickets in the penultimate over including a hat-trick.

Mishra first had Angelo Mathews caught at long off, then a couple of balls later had Bhuvneshwar Kumar lbw to a googly, next ball had Rahul Sharma bowled in an attempted slog and got his hat-trick by bowling Dinda with a googly.
