South Africa have completely demoralized Pakistan by piling up 460 for 4 by stumps on Day 2 in reply to Pakistan’s miserable first innings total of 99 in the Second and Final Test at Dubai. Skipper Graeme Smith on his comeback from injury, helped himself to peak form scoring 227 not out while AB de Villiers has marched to 157 not out.

The match result is already very obvious with Pakistan most probably headed towards an innings defeat in the hands of the World No.1 Test Team. Graeme Smith and AB de Villiers have already collected a massive partnership of 326 runs which is still unbroken from the last 78.2 overs. Smith during the course of his mammoth knock crossed 9,000 runs, to become only the second South African after Jacques Kallis to achieve the feat in Test history.

The entire second day’s play saw Pakistan get just the one wicket that too in the form of night watchman Dale Steyn who was bowled by Mohammad Irfan. Graeme Smith resumed the day’s play on 67 and his 227* came in 367 balls with 16 fours. AB de Villiers got his 157* from 262 balls with 16 fours and a six. The Proteas have a lead of 361 runs with six first innings wickets in hand.
