Although Zimbabwe will not go into the second match of the one-day series against New Zealand as favourites in spite of having won the first match, they will be high on confidence following the adrenaline-pumping win.

Zimbabwe recorded their first victory in last 10 completed matches with an impressive seven-wicket triumph over New Zealand in the first ODI of three-match series on Sunday.

Although India went to Zimbabwe with a second string side, they were still expected to do well, and were the favourites against the hosts. In the end, they did not do badly, clean sweeping the one-day series 3-0.

Chasing an average score of 145 runs, India had a horrible start of their inning. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane found himself short of crease in the first over of the inning. Robin Uthappa and Murli Vijay went on towards the target at brisk rate and it looked like the partnership is taking the game away from Zimbabwe.

India had not lost a single match on their tour of Zimbabwe. As such, they would have been hopeful of finishing the series on a winning note as well

India defeated Zimbabwe by 54 runs in first T20 match of the two-match series in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Having beaten Zimbabwe easily in the one-dayers after struggling briefly, India went into the T20 series as favourites. And, in an expected manner, they continued their domination over the hosts in the opening T20 match as well

India won the third and last ODI by 83 runs at Harare to clean sweep the series 3-0. Batting first, India put on 276/5 in their quota of 50 overs, mainly thanks to Kedar Jadhav for his century and debutant Manish Pandey for his 71.
