Team India’s stand-in captain Rishabh Pant has admitted that he is keen to make a significant contribution with the bat during the upcoming tour of England. The 24-year-old had a poor T20I series against South Africa at home, which ended on Sunday following the abandonment of the final T20I in Bengaluru due to rain.

Indian fast bowler Avesh Khan has hailed head coach Rahul Dravid after his fine four-wicket haul in the Rajkot T20I against South Africa. There were a few critics who felt that Avesh should have been replaced after he went wicketless in the first three matches of the series. However, the Indian think tank stuck to him and the 25-year-old delivered with figures of 4 for 18.

Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has stated that he tried to bowl quick leg breaks, but with a different seam position during the third T20I against South Africa on Tuesday. Team India’s captain for the T20I series against South Africa, Rishabh Pant, lamented that the wicket in Delhi got better to bat on in the second innings, as a result of which their bowlers could not build much pressure. However, in the end, he failed to take India over the line. Before the one-dayers, India conceded the Test series 1-2 despite taking the lead.

Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh reckons that Virat Kohli is definitely feeling the pressure of all that he has gone through over the last few months. Kohli resigned from T20 and Test captaincy and, in between, he was sacked as ODI captain as the BCCI wanted only one captain for white-ball cricket. As a result, for the first time after many years, he stepped on to the field as a pure batter. According to Harbhajan, the controversy surrounding him and BCCI as well as his form definitely seems to have impacted him.
