Former India wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has termed the current Indian team one of the best, if not
the best Indian team ever. India will take on New Zealand in the World Test Championship final in Southampton from June 18. Before that, India registered their second consecutive Test series win in Australia and followed it up with a 3-1 thrashing of England at home.
In an interesting development in the Kolkata Knight Riders camp, Dinesh Karthik has decided to handover the captaincy of the franchise to England's World Cup-winning skipper Eoin Morgan. KKR’s official website informed on Friday that Karthik wants to focus on his batting. The wicket-keeper batsman has had a tough time, managing only 108 runs from seven games at an average of 15.42
Dinesh Karthik, who was a member of India's 2019 World Cup squad and was discarded immediately after India were knocked out of the tournament, has revealed that he was surprised when sent into bat at number five in the semis against New Zealand at Manchester.
