Earlier, India's nightmare tour of England continued as batting masteroSachinTendulkar on Monday was ruled out of the ODI series with a toe injury. He is the eighth player to be injured on the current tour following VirenderSehwag, GautamGambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma and Rohit Sharma and Harbhajn Singh.

Tendulkar missed the first one-dayer in Durham on Saturday with a recurrence of an old toe injury that left him struggling to jog and was ruled out of the rest of tour after meeting the surgeon in Southampton.

"Tendulkar has been ruled out of the series and he will take another four weeks to regain fitness," team manager ShivlalYadav said.

The veteran batsman, who captains Mumbai Indians, is also almost certain to miss the Champions League Twenty20 event to be held at four venues in the country from September 19 to October 9.

The batting maestro, who is just one short of completing the incredible milestone of 100 international centuries, will have to wait longer with this latest injury.
