The Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on the Gujarat Titans (GT) in match number 24 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Thursday. This will be an evening game and will thus begin at 7:30 PM IST. RR are sitting pretty on top of the points table with three wins from four matches. In their previous clash, they got the better of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 3 runs in a close encounter.

On the other hand, Gujarat were hammered by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight runs. This was their first defeat in IPL 2022 after three successive wins to kick-off their journey in the tournament. Having succumbed to Hyderabad in unexpected fashion, Gujarat will be keen to get back to winning ways.

Rajasthan batted first in the game against Lucknow and managed a below part 165. It needed a brilliant half-century from Hetmyer to lift them to that total. The bowlers then came up with a wonderful effort to restrict LSG. Trent Boult claimed 2 for 30 while Yuzvendra Chahal picked up four wickets although he went for 41 runs. Kuldeep Sen also displayed tremendous nerves under pressure on debut.

Devdutt Padikkal and skipper Sanju Samson, however, need to show better consistency. RR are backing Rassie van der Dussen in the middle order. It will be interesting to see how he gels in. Overall, RR look in good rhythm.

RR predicted XI: Jos Buttler, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Rassie van der Dussen, Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Kuldeep Sen, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Yuzvendra Chahal

Gujarat struggled with the bat against SRH, which was one of the key reasons for their defeat. Skipper Hardik Pandya scored an unbeaten 50, but it came off 42 balls. Abhinav Manohar impressed with 35.

Matthew Wade needs to score. He has done nothing of note in IPL 2022 and he is occupying the prime opening position. GT wouldn’t be too hassled with one defeat though. They have one of the strongest bowling line-ups with Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson and Mohammed Shami.

GT predicted XI: Matthew Wade (wk), Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Hardik Pandya (c), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Abhinav Manohar, Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammed Shami, R Sai Kishore

Top fantasy picks for RR vs GT clash: Jos Buttler, Shimron Hetmyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shubman Gill, Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson
