Dubai: The drawn Test series against the West Indies on Sunday pushed Sri Lanka to fifth spot, a loss of two positions, in the ICC Test ranking table, headed by India.

Dubai: The drawn Test series against the West Indies on Sunday pushed Sri Lanka to fifth spot, a loss of two positions, in the ICC Test ranking table, headed by India.

The weather-hit series between the Caribbean side and the hosts concluded on Sunday in Pallekele with all three matches ending without a result.

The drawn series has knocked Lanka down to 109 ratings points, behind England and Australia, both of which in turn gain one place as a result.

The West Indies gained points for managing to avoid defeat in the series and is now placed just three ratings points behind Pakistan in seventh position.

India are sitting atop with 129 points, followed by South Africa (116), England (112) and Australia (110).
