Rayudu played a vital cameo of 17* from 6 balls with 2 sixes while it was James Franklin who took Mumbai closer to the target with an unbeaten 45 from 23 balls with 5 fours and a six. Mumbai Indians were otherwise struggling to get to the target of 176 from a score of 96 for 4 when a well set Sachin Tendulkar got out on 38 from 27 balls in the 13th over.
Earlier in the evening, KKR posted 175 for 7 with Jacques Kallis top scoring with 59 from 42 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes. Manoj Tiwary with 35 from 22 balls and Yusuf Pathan with 36 from 27 balls also played useful knocks for the hosts. Both Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders who finished at the 3rd and the 4th spots respectively will meet again in the Eliminator Match.
