Australia worked very hard to defeat Kenya in their 60-run victory at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore yesterday. The defending World Champions batted first after winning the toss came up with 324 for 6 with the top scorer being Michael Clarke (93 from 80 balls with 7 fours and a six). Two other batsmen - Brad Haddin (65 from 79 balls) and Michael Hussey (54 from 43 balls) also scored half centuries.
Kenya surprised everyone under the lights by batting out the entire 50 overs to come up with a decent total of 264 for 6 thanks to solid knocks from Collins Obuya (98* from 129 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes) and Tanmay Mishra (72 from 89 balls with 8 fours and a six). Collins Obuya got the Man of the Match perhaps for being the top scorer of the match.
