Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Chris Gayle warmed up for the IPL final against Chennai Super Kings in style by playing yet another match-winning innings to beat Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier.

Elation was quite evident on the Jamaican's face as he hoped for a big one in the final.

"I am in the IPL final for the first time and I hope to score a big one...We are up against the top team in the competition, Chennai, and I hope that we keep it together," said the giant West Indian.

"I am enjoying my batting and it is good to be among the runs," he added.

Looking back at the win, the holder of the orange cap said they had planned to play Malinga and Harbhajan "smartly".

"Malinga and Harbhajan were the key bowlers but we played them smartly," said the former West Indies skipper.

"The wicket was good to bat in and it deteriorated rapidly. The bowlers have done their job and the fielding has been outstanding," he said commenting on the pitch and the effort put in by his teammates on the field.

When asked what he eats to be able to play such powerful shots, he joked, "I have pancakes and omelette most of the time."

Bangalore take on the Super Kings in the IPL-4 final at Chennai on Saturday.
