Williamson is the Man of the Match

Angelo Mathews: We had a chance, but we made a mess of out batting in the second innings. Chameera is still finding his feet in Test cricket, but the way he bowled was amazing. Overseas, you have got to learn quickly. New Zealand are the deserved winners. We put them under pressure, but they bounced back well.

Brendon McCullum: It was definitely a hard-fought win. On a surface which was more suited to us, credit to Angelo and his boys for putting us under pressure. A quality innings that from the king. Short-pitched bowling became a real weapon on a wicket that had a lot of bounce. Thankfully we came out on top. Our bowling group is world-class. We know we can take 20 wickets. It is just about working in groups.
