Official news from Manchester is that play has been abandoned because of heavy rain and the Third Test ends in a draw. England have retained the Ashes with an unassailable lead of 2-0.
It is still raining at Old Trafford and Tea has been taken. There is not much of time left in this Test match. Very soon play could be abandoned because of the heavy rain.
Oh dear and it has started to rain as well and the Aussies are walking off in disappointment. England would take this interruption happily.

Over 20.3 PM Siddle bowls a short and rising delivery to IR Bell, 2 runs, well this is a brute of a ball which explodes out of nowhere to smash the thumb of Bell and luckily for him flies over gully for a couple! Bell wants the physio to attend him. Time will be wasted and bad light and rain are likely to stop play any moment!

The rain has stopped and the players are back for action although the gloomy conditions prevail at Manchester. We have lost five overs due to the interruption. For sure more rain is in store.
Rain has arrived at Old Trafford and there is a delay to the post lunch session!
